Need help accessing gender-affirming care?

Care shouldn't wait on affording it.

The Transjectual Fund provides financial support towards gender-affirming treatment for trans adults who cannot afford private care.

If you're struggling to access the treatment you need, you can apply for support from The Transjectual Fund.

Our Vision

"You don't have to navigate this alone.

Private gender-affirming care can be expensive. NHS waiting times can be measured in years. For some people, waiting isn't an option. The Transjectual Fund exists to help people access care when cost or circumstances are standing in the way. We assess applications based on need and circumstances, not how well you write your application.

Tell us what you need, what you've already tried and why support would make a difference."

Who can apply?

If you're unsure whether you qualify, you can still apply.

People on low incomes

If private treatment isn't financially accessible to you, you may be eligible to apply.

People facing long NHS waiting times

If you're on a years-long NHS gender identity waiting list and need care sooner, tell us about your circumstances.

People with an urgent need for care

This may include circumstances involving risk of job loss, housing insecurity or a significant impact on your wellbeing.

How the application works.

Tell us about yourself

Complete the application form with some information about your circumstances and the care you're seeking.

Tell us what you've already tried

We'll ask about the routes you've already explored, including NHS or other available options. This helps us understand your circumstances, it's not about proving that you've tried hard enough.

Your application is reviewed

Applications are reviewed by the Fund Oversight Committee. The committee meets monthly through launch, then quarterly.

We'll let you know the outcome

If your application is approved, we'll work with you to arrange your funded treatment. If we need more information before making a decision, we'll let you know.
